Liadromia used to be the old name of the island
Liadromia comes from the word “Achiliadromia” meaning sport games held in historic times in the memory of Peleas father of Achilleus who is believed died in the island or “Chiliadromia” meaning one thousand roads as the island is in the centre of the Sporades island complex and trade routews at the past where essential here.
